this is a doll as I received her... beautiful face, gorgeous soft red hair. she was sold to me as a possible German doll but her markings are French Limoges Lantenier.... Clearing out the dolls. following is the description when I received her: quote .15 inch German ( I think) fashion,pierced ears, with earrings, post type, blue glass eyes, with red dots at inside corner, also inside nose, very light painted eye lashes, great feather brows, the mouth is closed, but you can see a bit of white, between the lips, this is a socket head with shoulder plate, and the org. pate, the wig is newer, the body is kid, with some patching, but all and all not bad, I dont think it is org., some chipping to fingers, and one thumb is missing. 2 pc. dress silk, very good cond. and old but not as old as the doll, I cant make out the marking on the back of the head but there is alot, see photo. the head is in great cond. no cracks or chips, the shoulder plate looks to be newer, as the spring in the neck is newer, unquote... believe her hair is an English soft mohair wig... pretty inset blue glassine eyes... nicely dressed in a vintage burgundy silk dress coat and lace dress underneath... she is a bisque head with the neck in a shoulder plate.. very hard to read the old inscription on the back of her beautiful head, but she has the Lantenier rectangle box.... beautiful doll for display... inventory #11.. I have now taken several views of this charming madamoiselle high fashion lady doll.. I sent her to the doll hospital where her body which had a few leaks starting at the gussets were repaired and her hair restyled.. She is very charming.. not absolutely perfect but so antique.. Her dress is so antique and delicate and note a bit of light red mark from the burgundy satin overcoat she is wearing.. does not show with her burgundy satin garment on.. probably could be washed very gently. 07/30/07 (6146) this doll is now on clearance.. make an offer for her if you can provide a good home..
