Some excerpts from an Original Royal Doulton Nisbet brochure (not included) "The heads are exquisitely modeled in ivory fine bone china to gain all the delicate translucency of a child's complexion, each piece deftly painted in authentic detail with the wistful expressions so characteristic of Miss Greenaway's work." "Special attention is given to the eyes, which are hand-painted to achieve a limpid quality. The little hands, too, are in ivory bone china, again expertly modelled and painted." "The costumes are lovingly recreated from the artist's original illustrations, every tiny stitch made by skilled and dedicated needlewomen."
