mcCall's 4918; 1959; Misses' One-Pattern-Piece, Instant Dress with Cummerbund. Dress with fitted bodice and full, four-gore skirt with unpressed pleats. Scoop neck in front, V neck in back. Cap sleeves in one with back and front bodice. Cummerbund or tie-belt. Left side placket fastened with zipper in bodice, hooks and eyes at waistline, snaps in skirt. Cummerbund has featherbone at each side, is fastended with hooks and eyes. Note: While the description says One-Pattern-Piece, there are two pieces (1 dress, 1 cummerbund) to be laid on the fabric, each of which have several actual pieces to be cut out of the fabric... The front of the envelope clarifies as follows: "Paper pattern is all one piece: pin to fabric and cut complete dress instantly" bit of wear, used wikki picture and description. mccalls 4918 edge wear.. size 18, bust 38 inches. waist 30, hip 40. 1959.. not many pieces.. partly cut checked out ok all accounted for.. use linen, print cottons, cotton surah etc..
