17'' BLACK MR RAG DOLL GREEN CHECK PANTS, PRINT SHIRT, KERCHIEF

unknown previous history of this doll except it appears quite vintage, looks like the clothes are homespun and probably a straight stitch or simple sewing machine. green check pants and an old print top sewn at top, with wide cuffs. kerchief of a nice floral print. very interesting doll and maybe one could date this fellow from the clothing designs. looks like hand painted facial features, and short wooly very soft yarn type hair, sewn above the knees for sitting purposes.. about 17 inches tall, mitt hands.. all black cotton stuffed body rag doll.. love this guy, a really neat character.. came from an estate of dolls that ranged from the 1900 era to 1960s or so.. he could be late 40s to 50s on estimate.. inventory 1639 inventoried  LR BIN 1 2021 OK
