The Century Doll Company of New York made bisque and composition dolls from 1909-1928. Max Scheuer the founder retired in 1926 and his sons continued the business until 1928 when they merged with the Domec Toy Company and were then known as the Doll Corporation of America. a very interesting doll indeed.. he got banged around in a shop and needs to be restored to his original vintage beauty.. crack on side of the head., and some fingers are missing from one hand, missing skin on the underneath of one gauntlet hand. amazing he has his original uniform and that would be around world war I era.. gauntlet arms were in this era also. I think instead of being a soldier uniform this could be more of an airforce uniform from the first world war.. straw stuffed I believe. filed doll room br. ok. inventory 2567 shelf 8 ok
