9 1/2'' LENCI TYPE CLOTH DOLL, CELLULOID FACE, BRAIDS #254

Description THIS DOLL IS SO VINTAGE AND DARLING ONE VERY HAPPY GIRL IN ALL ORIGINAL ANTIQUE CLOTHING.. blue wool felt vest open, sheer gauzy type peasant blouse with antique ecru lace trim, high at the neck, you can see her shoulder plate through the blouse, one happy child with nice brown wig with braids, and original orangey ribbons in her hair how does a ribbon stay in a doll's hair for over 70 years.. estimate 1930s for this girl, antique apron, ecru lace trimmed and cute orange and white print skirt with some of the trim hanging loose... lenci type cloth stuffed doll, well stuffed, mitt hands , stitched fingers, and nice stiff legs, black sewn on wool felt shoes and seams up the front.. cellulose type face before plastic, dent in one cheek. nice blue painted eyes, and believe the celluloid face is a mask face made of that material and the back of her head is a composition or paper mache type material.. bit of side seam separation on right side.. , wig is attached,, actually cute doll and with a little bit of fixing and freshening up would be a lovely acquisition, she seems to have a great personality.. about 9 1/2 inches tall., she has very nice crisp linen boxer undies too. inventory 254. arms and legs are fully jointed.. she has little ball pins on her vest for decoration and secure the vest to her body.. on the left side of her face cheek is the little dent and there is a ball pin at the seam on that side you can see a little glimmer in the picture,, little steel ball pin to help secure the face or represent an earring perhaps..,, bit of side separation wear on that side.., the other side the right side is more noticeable separation and covered by her braids.. doll room shelf 7
