Description THIS IS SUCH A WELL MADE DOLL, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND WOULD BE DRESSED IN THE COSTUME OF HIS COUNTRY. GREAT CARVED CLAY FACE AND HANDS, WONDERFUL HAND DONE COSTUME. COULD BE UKRAINIAN, POLISH, MAYBE RUSSIAN. AND BELIEVE HE COULD BE A DANCER.. ON A WOODEN STAND THAT HAS CARPET UNDER IT, NO SIGNATURE THAT i CAN SEE, COSTUME AS SHOWN IN PICTURE., MOLDED BIG BLACK BOOTS, AND THE RED STRIPED BALLOON PANTS. embroidered detailing, very very rich costume, linen peasant blouse. and feathers down the front of his long duster and brass studs.. great carved face with blue inset painted eyes.. lovely hat with peacock feather and flowers, beads on the side of his hat. . just lovely from a great doll estate sale, do not know his origin or history....
