2 ECUADOR MOTHERS WITH BABIES, 8.5" & 10" ORIGINAL OUTFITS, HAT   THIS IS A LOVELY PAIR OF UNIQUE MOTHERS  ONE HAS A WOODEN BASE WITH MADE IN ECUADOR UNDERNEATH AND BELIEVE THE OTHER LADY COULD BE FROM THAT COUNTRY AS WELL.  the taller mother is 10 inches approximately with very long black braided hair.. she has the yarn covered legs which was used in dollhouse dolls in the 1940s... This 10 inch mother has a wooden ball head type head with painted features.. love her hair.  she has old nails attaching her feet to the stand..  her skirt is rich pumpkin with embroidered flowers two layers, and has her scarf holding her good sized baby  about 4 inches and a good sized baby wrapped in fabric..   the baby has a stocking type face, green satin top, very well dressed.. and her companion is going home with her   she is about 8 or so inches tall and has a hat, same type of yarn wrapped legs and nails but no stand.. she is a bit shorter. and has a composition type face painted features, high blush.  wearing a jute green homespun skirt and pink blouse.. so much detail with these dolls   Her baby is about 2.5 inches and well hidden, I had to look for this baby wrapped on her back.  Great ethnic dolls.. filed 12 2020 bin lr  BOTH COMBINED..   tHE SMALLER mother although similar yarn wrapped extremities could be from Peru, just an estimate.. thank y ou
