8 1/2'' CARVED WOODEN SKOOKUMS TYPE ABORIGINAL NATIVE DOLL 1394

this is such an interesting folk art doll and all carved wood. about 8 1/2 inches tall. like a Skookums type doll, nice homespun plaid shawl. black yarn hair, red head covering.,  BLACK AND WHITE CHECK  apron,  floor  blue calico dress, nicely carved, wish I knew who the artist was, could be a Canadian artist.. purchased this on Vancouver Island, Canada.. holding a staff and one foot has a little peg underneath so may have had a stand originally.., white pantaloons.. basic stitching.. carved painted facial features.. beautiful doll.. I can only estimate her era about 1960s all carved wood, hands are darker wood than the feet.. and the face is darker.. wonderful for any collection. inventory 1394 2-2 filed   lr 12 2020 bin ok
