6' FRENCH INTNL MABEL CALAIS COSTUMED DOLL,CROSS #476

Description inventory 476 lovely French lady, mature lady doll I believe in original costume, beautiful in a purply apron and red sweeping flare taffeta type dress, white shawl with crochet trim, and her golden cross.. peacock type fan headdresS is a full cap covering her hair with the fan at the edge in front.. . and nice dark wavy hair.. feels like celluloid material , jointed arms and legs.. gold wire circle earrings it looks like on the side of her head, painted blue eyes, lashes, closed red mouth.., beautifully created, and she looks expensive, dress is a bit longer than her actual body she is about 6 inches tall. label says Mabel, Calais, and made in france, attached to front of apron., undies and painted on little black shoes.. very lightweight and pretty sure this is cellulose material which they used overseas long after vinyl came into being and became popular in western countries.... darker hue like tanned face.. unplayed with, bit of fray on ribbon ends. been on display for a few years, FILED DOLL ROOM
