9'' PLATINUM HAIR WENDY ANN COMPO MME ALEX DOLL #1308

Description 1935 Little Betty face, 9-11" tall, all composition, jointed body (neck, shoulders & hip), painted side glancing eyes, painted red closed mouth. Usually marked: Mme. Alexander NEW YORK is the info I picked up from the doll reference web.. this little girl is probably 1930s and interesting.. replaced dress, all compo and fully jointed.. her red gauzy scarf is glued to her platinum hair, so she probably was a character doll perhaps little red riding hood or similar.. cute doll as shown in the picture, not perfect, nice jointed hips about 9 inches tall as I received her.. Wendy Ann and Mme Alexander New York incised on her back.. cute cheeky face, blue side glancing eyes.. just a nice doll. would be a great one to redress... inventory 1308 i DO NOT KNOW HER PREVIOUS HISTORY .. to me the wig looks like a replacement and cannot understand why the red scarf is glued to her head. and there was one in 1936 that came in several sizes including 9 inch and believe this is closer to the year she was born.. no swivel waist and they came with or without wigs so maybe this doll had molded hair and a wig was added later on.. I can only guess.. FILED OK ff inventoried doll room shelf 8 she is now wearing white pantaloons and will go home with shoes.
