misses Wedding Dress with Detachable Train and Bridesmaid Dress: The body lined dress with high round neckline and set-in sleeves has skirt softly gathered to bodice above normal wiastline. V. 1 with below elbow length, bellshaped sleeves has lace bodice, sleeves and detachable train. V. 1 & 2 have bias trim. V. 2 with "leg-of-mutton" sleeves features lace daisy medallion and ruffled lace trim. V. 2, 3, 4 & 5 have "stand-up" collar. V. 3 has beaded metallic braid. V. 3, 4 & 5 have short puff sleeves gathered with elastic casing. V. 4 has ribbon tie belt. simplicity 8589 size 8 bust 31 1/2 inches,, waist 23 and hip 33 1/2 inches, the newer sizing. that just came in.. 1969. crease on the back, cut and checked out ok all accounted for... very nice pattern.. 1 bodice, sleeves, train in lace only. all others in cottons etc.. sheer cottons, linens, silks, taffeta, organdy etc.. 1 skirt and trim also in satin.. 3 , 4,5, also in jacquards, brocade, pique, eyelet.. HAVE ONE also in this series dated a few years later , similar and has the leg of mutton sleeves
