9175 1968 TOPPER, BOWLER, COWBOY, FEDORA HAT PATTERN SM-LG

LOVE THIS PATTERN 1968.. so chic and smart even today and very hard to find.. mccall's 9175.. two head sizes small 21 1/2 to 22 inches headsize, and large covers 22 1/2 to 23 inches.. uncut original folds. wee bit of wear near flap.. all have same two pc crown, each has a different brim. felt and organdy interfacing throughout; lined crown and inner grosgrain ribbon headband. A the FEDORA with a brim flipped up at back, down in front has a leather buckled band.. B the Bowler has a small shaped brim high at sides and down at front and back;; chainlike metallic braid hat band.. C the COWBOY hs a broad brim which cups slightly all around by means of boning at edge and grosgrain ribbon hat band and trimming. optional trim stitch can cover brim, one side can be flipped up for Aussie look. so cute. use crisp cotton, silk, satin or similar synthetics.. A or B also knits, velvet, wools.. lining of ltwt cottons, synthetics.. mccall's 9175 uncut ones go first.. have one partly cut checked out ok thick and heavy last one to go.
