First version of Madame Alexander's cloth Little Women dolls,appearing in 1933-34,and coinciding with the RKO release of the film,Little Women,with Katherine Hepburn. 16". All cloth dolls with hand-painted features & mohair wig, 3 of the dolls with suede-like facial complexion, the fourth with felt-face; each with side-glancing eyes with defined upper lashes, mohair wigs with original coiffure, five-piece bodies are stitch- jointed, original costumes, shoes, socks, undergarments... I have four of the Little Women cloth dolls. this is an online write up on this doll... You have a choice. I have Jo here in her blue dress with red rick rac and a print apron as I received them amazing for their ages. Jo has a nice face and is kind of flocked. painted lips and eyes,, blondish hair I have not groomed them.. HER HAIR IS TIED BACK with a red ribbon.. mitt cloth hands. not bad for her age... her hair is very soft.. they are close to 90 years old now. Jo has her blue dress, pantaloons, black shoes and socks... Her dress is tagged Little Women. For Jo choose Jo 1933 in the menu thank you. i WILL BE adding the ladies as I upload the pictures and information.. filed bin 9 2022 and we have Beth with soft redhair choose Beth in the menu.. she is wearing a nice long printed country dress with white collar lace trimmed.. beige tied shoes very Shirley Temple era looking and socks she has a gauze slip and pantaloons similar to Jo. thank you.. filed 9 2022 inv bin; AND THEN WE HAVE LIGHT BLONDE AMY side glancing painted blue eyes, some of these cloth dolls have slightly darker faces from age and storage I am sure.. Just amazing they are all intact and original. All cloth dolls with hand-painted features and mohair wig,three of the dolls with suede-like facial complexion,and the fourth with felt-face; each with brown side-glancing eyes with defined upper lashes,eye shadow,one-stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with pursed lips. The mohair wigs in varying shades of brunette to light brown to blonde retain their soft curls or braids in original coiffure,and their five-piece bodies are stitch- jointed. Condition: generally excellent with typical slight surface dust on faces. the fourth one tagged blue and white print dress no socks or shoes but believe I may have them for her, there were loose shoes with this large collection. cherry red long hair braids as you see her... she has some wear to her face some flocking missing, brown eyes painted.. but she makes the complete set of four girl lady dolls Little Women. choose Meg in the menu thank you
