Description HARD TO DESCRIBE THIS PACKAGE.. as shown on the front of the pattern jacket Costumes for Canada's Birthday the styles of 1867 folders 1 to 8, put out in 1967 when Canada turned 100 years old. publication by the Royal Ontario Museum, University of Toronto, original typed letter from the Museum to the owner in 1967 and a check off sheet of items available.. and will list all the items inside this envelope.. First is a wonderful historic 1956 two pages Weekend Magazine Vol 6, #43 newsprint showing fashions from the 1600s onwards.. targetting the umbrella or brolly over the centuries.. next is ROM about 8 folders from 1867 and there are some outlines of patterns inside this folder and drawings of the styles and historic significance of these styles. very informative and dated 1966.. , shawls, bonnets, children, adults, their hairstyles etc.. nice print and condition of these folders.. just the pattern jacket has tear on it and some wear but inside is lovely.. and included are two booklets.. one is women's costume in Ontario 1867 to 1907 showing two elegant ladies on their bicycles.. and wearing hats.. awesome pictures in this crisp booklet.. love the boots... 16 pages .. and another booklet Women's costume in early Ontario by K.B. Brett a Royal Ontario Museum publication. and covers fashions from 1700s with the early settlers to the 1800s, mantillas etc.. 16 pages, lovely.. you will receive all this historic information in one envelope.. very nice condition except the jacket has wear...
