Description WHAT A LOVELY PATTERN, PROBABLY WAS USED BUT VERY NICE CONDITION, NICE PATTERN JACKET TOO FOR ITS AGE, checked all punched pieces all accounted for, definitely mid 1940s to maybe 1947 or 48.. no date on this pattern.. Simplicity 2337.. size 16, old sizing,, bust 34, waist 28 and hip 37 inches.. blouse, slacks and jerkin. blouse finished with a pointed collar, may be made with long sleeves gathered to wrist bands or short sleeves.. Jerkin or vest is smoothly dart fitted through the waist andone button closes the front. Large patch pockets trim the fronts. Definitely Erin pockets.. The slacks are made with pockets at the sides.. The wristline is pleated and finished with a belt.. it says wristline not waistline.. 1 1/2 inch turn up for blouse or jerkin and 1 1/4" turn up for slacks.. zipper for I, II or snap fasteners, hooks and eyes.. slacks side open.. blouse buttons, instructions and pattern .. shoulder pads.. as shown in picture. and Erin of Dress a Day, great blog were talking about notations on patterns, this is so cool and really dates this pattern.. says on it Miss Ann Peters.. the old days when people were called Miss, like teachers.. smart ensemble size 16, Simplicity 2337.. and one other one similar to this one that was listed,, started the description as quote: This great sportswear pattern from the late 40s looks glamorous enough for Lauren Bacall or Katherine Hepburn to wear!
