2963 SIMPLICITY 1949 SHAPED BOXY BAGS, BONNET ,HAT PATTERN

TO ME this is an exciting fashion find.. however the pattern jacket is in such poor condition and torn.. Simplicity 2963,,, very fragile.. dated 1949,, for hat and bag .. the hat back piee is missing, and the rest is ok so you can easily make this so unique bag pattern.. or create the back piece of the hat yourself. or ask Pattern Rescue .. hat is made in three sections.. 1 has scallop brim, stitched to the crown and trimmed with machine stitching, etc. etc... the box type bag secured with a drawstring closing has side sections which join to a flat bottom. A lining and two pockets cut of lining material are featured... use velveteen, velvet, gingham, pique, linen etc.. this is such a vintage looking pattern. like pioneer days... sold as a piece of the hat missing and you could make that boxy charming bag... the previous owner used old brown paper strips to keep the sides together..
